Job Title:   Preschool Teacher- Preschool Promise 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

 

 

               

Position Description:

The Preschool Promise Program, Little Pirates Preschool,  is a high-quality, publicly funded preschool program that serves children age four (4) in families living at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, children in foster care and children from other historically underserved populations.

 

The Pre-Kindergarten Teacher will ensure, support, and promote each child’s learning, wellbeing, and development in cooperation with their parents and other early childhood professionals in a manner consistent with Oregon Early Learning standards, USDA, and licensed childcare rules and regulations. The Pre-Kindergarten Teacher ensures/completes developmental screening and follow-up and plans and provides a developmentally and culturally appropriate classroom experience which meets the needs of all children and their families.

 

The teacher will promote parent involvement by: providing tools and supports to parents as the primary educators of their child; planning and scheduling home visits and parent/teacher conferences; and engaging parents in their child’s learning as appropriate.
