Position Description:

Part time position. Time and hours vary based on program needs. To be determined by program coordinators and or principal.

This position performs a variety of instructional and student supervisory tasks

Qualifications:

Ability to assist in the instruction of reading, writing, and mathematics or the instruction in readiness for these subjects
Ability to work with and lead students in group and individual activities.
Ability to exercise sound independent judgment and work within an environment of changing priorities, needs and interruptions.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Hold a valid First Aid card, prefered

Performance Responsibilities:

Assists teacher in classroom by supervising students in classroom activities.
Follows prescribed daily schedule as outlined by teacher.
Assists the teacher in the set up and maintenance of the classroom, materials and supplies.
Maintains safe environment for students at all times indoors and outdoors
Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff and parents and resolves conflict in a professional manner.
Appropriately maintain and secure confidential records and inquiries.
Performs physical labor and walking as required.
Maintains regular attendance in order to preserve continuity.
Performs other duties as assigned by Teacher, Principal and/or Supervisor.

Salary Range: based on regular hourly rate
