Job Title: Transition Classroom Teacher .5 FTE
Madison Elementary School
Position Description:
The successful candidate must be able to teach Kindergarten- 3rd grade students, half time, at Madison Elementary School. This small sized classroom is for students who demonstrate a need for more structure, support and behavior management. The candidate will work in a collabortive manner with the building administrator, teachers and support staff to develop and implement individualized behavior interventions and plans which will lead to the successful transitioning for students to return to their assigned classroom. The teacher will provide direct and indirect instructional support to students in a positive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Properly endorsed Oregon Teaching License
- Strong ability to work as a team member
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of positive behavior strategies and interventions
- Knowledge of Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans and evidenced based strategies to support these plans
- Knowledge of Collabortive Probelm Solving
Length of Contract: school year
Starting Date: as soon as hiring process is complete
